TEDxKids @SMU and Groundwork Dallas are teaming up to offer a service project opportunity on April 20th for those needing TEDxKids 2013 service hours. Groundwork Dallas’ Peter Payton will take participants on an educational hike through the forest near Trinity River. After learning about the importance of Trinity Forest, the students will engage in an effort to restore and beautify the Trinity River area by picking up trash. The day will conclude with lunch on the beach at Fish Hole Lake.

Items to Bring: comfy clothes and shoes for hiking/trash pick-up, sack lunch and release forms

The deadline to apply is April 5, 2013!

If you have already completed service hours for 2012 please just reply to this email with school name, number of students that participated, hours completed and a brief description of your project. We want to keep up with all the good you guys are doing!
