Brandon Lazarus – It’s Not What You Know, It’s Who You Know – TEDxSMU Salon 2012

Talks 1 Comment

Brandon is a third year Masters of Divinity student at Perkins School of Theology at SMU. He currently lives in the Dietrich Bonhoeffer House, which is a new monastic community located in Old East Dallas. He and three other residents live under a rule of life in which they commit to give to their community with their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. Because many of his neighbors are homeless or impoverished, he is committed to working alongside them in order to alleviate some of the hardships that come with a lack of finances. He views his house not as his own possession but a gift to be shared. Upon graduation, he will be moving to South Carolina to pursue ordination in the United Methodist Church as an Elder and hopes to plant a new monastic community in Columbia, SC.
