Talks No Comments

Long-term conservation and management of species in captivity, as well as in the wild, is one of the primary missions of the Dallas Zoo. CEO of the Dallas Zoo Gregg Hudson will discuss the importance of their conservation program and the connections visitors feel with the animals. Candance and Allyssa will join him onstage along with a couple of zoo friends.

The Dallas Zoo is the largest zoo in Texas, sitting on 106 acres. The zoo has made major progress in recent years, with new exhibits such as the Giants of the Savannah, a one-of-a-kind habitat that made headlines last year for being the first in the country to successfully integrate elephants alongside giraffes, zebras, ostriches and impalas. The zoo has experienced surging attendance for four years and is on pace for another record-breaking year.
