Paige Chenault – The Joy Triangle – TEDxSMU 2016

Talks No Comments

Using real-world examples taken from her experiences as a mom, an event planner, and founder of a non-profit, Paige Chenault challenges her listeners to initiate JOY. It isn’t an accident – JOY happens when you show up. It happens when you make yourself part of a community. And it happens when you commit to something greater than yourself. JOY is contagious!
Five years ago, Paige was running a successful event planning business, throwing parties for the affluent and the celebrated. Then it hit her. What if she re-tooled her talent toward the under-served and forgotten. The Birthday Party Project was born. Convinced that joy changes lives, she now leads an organization that provides birthday parties to thousands of homeless children all over the country. With the support of thousands of birthday enthusiasts (volunteers), The Birthday Party Project hosts monthly birthday parties at homeless and transitional living facilities. Currently, they host 31 parties a month in 12 cities across the country. Paige hopes The Birthday Party Project will inspire others as they build bridges in communities across the country through celebrations.
