TEDxSMU 2012: Re:Think

re:focused. re:engaged. re:laxed. re:ady for 2012.

Mind-stretching programs that connect thought leaders, solution seekers and the merely curious to “why not?” challenges will return with TEDxSMU on Dec. 1 at the brand new City Performance Hall in the Dallas Arts District. The theme for TEDxSMU in 2012 is re:think — and we’ll ask participants to do just that throughout the 2012 season of events.

Now in its fourth year, TEDxSMU is adding programs, expanding our audiences, and honing in on the most important piece of any TED program: the content. We’re pushing boundaries to find inventive, brave, smart, funny, engaging and provocative presenters who will force our audiences to, quite simply, re:think everything.
We hope you’ll be a part of the magic.

About TEDxSMU
Bringing together ideas and interesting people from around the world and around the corner, TEDxSMU and TEDxKids @SMU are single-day conferences in Dallas, TX. Now in its third year, TEDxSMU is jointly produced by Southern Methodist University and the Idea Fund of the Communities Foundation of Texas.

TEDxKids @SMU (the first TEDx event designed for students) hosts 350 middle school students for a free four-hour conference, in exchange for completing four hours of community service. TEDxSMU attendees must apply and be selected in order to participate in the full-day conference.
