Amit Banerjee – TEDxKids@SMU 2012

Talks No Comments

I am a 14 year old high school freshman who this April, earned the rank of Eagle, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. I have been in Scouting since first grade. The Scout slogan “Do a Good Turn Daily” really resonated with me and inspired me to follow it in my everyday life. For my Eagle project I created a magazine Philanthropy Kids to promote and recognize philanthropy in kids. When people ask me what I want to become when I grow up. I just tell them that I will work on something that I love and can make a difference in others lives. In my spare time I love to read. I love Math and have represented my school in several Math Competitions. I don’t know what to the future has in store for me, but I am ready for whatever it has to offer.

Fun Facts: Amit is an Eagle Scout // He loves to travel the world // His favorite book series is “A Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket // He has been involved with philanthropy since he was in the first grade.
