Judith Allen – Because I Said So, That’s Why – TEDxSMU 2013
Dr. Judith Allen joined Communities In Schools Dallas Region in 2005 as a campus service provider and currently oversees programmatic operations of the organization and its 69 school sites. The daughter of Haitian immigrants, she is originally from the Chicagoland area, eventually finding herself NYC, working with child service based non-profits and the mental hygiene aspect of law enforcement. Her recent work in Texas specialized in school age high risk behaviors, and a member of CISDR’s executive administration. She holds a doctorate in psychology from New York University and has extensive background in clinical child development, crisis de-escalation, family dynamics, and servicing high risk environments with needy children and families.
