Riya Mahesh – Three cups of heores – TEDxKids@SMU 2014
Riya Mahesh, a freshman at Coppell High School has always been fascinated by the choice of role models for young adults. We are puzzling creatures, little bugs trying to find a place in this world. Without the guidance of role models, it can be hard sometimes find out what career teens want to pursue.
Riya is a freshman at Coppell High School. She is an active member of her school choir and runs on the cross country team. Last year, she started a non-profit called “One Step for Eight” dedicated to helping diabetics in developing countries. The non-profit is best known for the 5K they hosted earlier this year. When she grows up she hopes to become a pediatric oncologist and attend Stanford University.
