Tammy Nguyen Lee – Starting My Movement – TEDxSMU Salon 2012

Tammy is a film/television producer, actor and philanthropist. She graduated from SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts with a BA in Cinema and received a MFA from UCLA’s elite Producers Program. Her feature documentary debut, OPERATION BABYLIFT: THE LOST CHILDREN OF VIETNAM, screened at over a dozen festivals internationally and won two prestigious awards. She is the president/founder of Against The Grain Productions, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that raises money for international orphanages and promotes emerging Asian American artists and leaders through educational and cultural events and scholarships. In 2010, she was honored with the SMU Distinguished Alumni Emerging Leader Award. She currently serves on the Meadows Alumni Council and Board of Directors for the Hegi Family Career Development Center.
