Will Watson at TEDxKIDS@SMU 2010

William Watson was born in 1989 in Sherman, Texas. After graduating from high school, he spent six months in East Africa as a photographer and volunteer before starting university at Sewanee: the University of the South, where he is a double major in International and Global Studies and Art. During his time at Sewanee, Will traveled to Haiti for documentary photography projects, and led a group of students to Ecuador to work with a development and missions group. Will is also involved with Falling Whistles, a campaign for peace in Congo. While working with the organization, Will interned at Falling Whistles headquarters in Los Angeles, led campus activities at Sewanee, and led a speaking tour on bicycles across the United States to speak out about the war in Congo. Seeking to promote cohesion and cooperation amongst diverse communities and groups, Will has a passion for freedom and justice and hopes to pursue those ideals in all he does.
